DESCRIPTION
The Certified Peer Support Specialist (CRSS) will meet with individuals in hospital and community settings, provide both individual and group support, and assist with linkage to treatment and community resources. The CRSS will collaborate closely with staff to develop and administer appropriate treatment for clients. This may include helping clients in learning, living, belonging, and healing through a strength-based individualized team process that facilitates progress and strengthens resiliency. This position will be discussed in more depth during the interview.
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of continuous demonstrated recovery time from a substance use disorder (alcohol or drug addiction) at the date of application
- High school diploma/GED
- You must have a current/valid driver's license and must be 21 years of age or older with a good driving record to meet driving insurability requirements.
- Social security card
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge and use of computer software and programs, such as Word, Outlook, and type 40 wpm.
- Orientation is required for employment. There are 5 days of paid orientation held Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4p or 10a-6p; some Saturdays possible.
