Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper/Snow Plow Operator to join our outdoor maintenance team. This role involves year-round responsibilities including landscape maintenance, lawn care, and snow removal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, landscaping, and equipment operation, with a focus on delivering high-quality outdoor services. Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, tree trimming, gardening, and hardscape installation
- Operate snow plows and other winter equipment to ensure safe access during winter months
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment including excavators for various landscaping projects
- Maintain irrigation systems and assist with general lawn care to promote healthy landscapes
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation of machinery
- Assist with planting, pruning, and other horticultural activities to enhance landscape aesthetics
- Implement tree care practices including trimming and removal as needed
- Support construction projects related to landscape design and installation
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscaping, lawn care, or related outdoor maintenance fields
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, excavators, and other landscaping equipment
- Familiarity with snow plowing operations and winter storm response procedures
- Knowledge of horticulture principles, irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and hardscape installation
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, tree care, and planting
- Excellent physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred; experience operating snow plows or similar equipment is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with attention to detail and safety standards
