Ammonia and Industrial Refrigeration Technician

We are seeking a skilled Ammonia Industrial Refrigeration Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ammonia systems and is committed to safety, efficiency, and high-quality service.

• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia refrigeration systems (compressors, evaporators, condensers, vessels, etc.)
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
• Conduct system inspections and preventative maintenance
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA (IIAR), and local safety regulations
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Respond to on-call service requests as needed
• Support system startups, shutdowns, and pump-down procedures

• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, controls, and electrical systems
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience with screw and reciprocating compressors (e.g., Frick, Vilter, Mycom)
• Knowledge of PLC-based control systems
• Familiarity with IIAR standards and Process Safety Management (PSM)

• Work in industrial environments including cold storage and machine rooms
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation
