What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Lighting Technician position at Northstar Holiday Lighting?
Northstar Holiday Lighting is hiring Seasonal Lighting Installers for the holiday season in Boulder County. We design and install custom holiday lighting for homes and businesses, and every job is something customers and their neighbors see for the whole season. This is hands-on outdoor work on a small team. You’ll learn the trade, work directly with the owner, and be trusted with real responsibility from day one.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, and remove holiday lighting on rooflines, gutters, trees, and shrubs
- Work safely from ladders and on roofs, following our safety procedures on every job
- Load, transport, and organize lights and equipment
- Troubleshoot problems on site, such as dead strands, outlet issues, and access challenges
- Communicate professionally with customers, confirm the install plan, and leave every property clean
- Arrive on time, finish jobs on schedule, and tell us early if something changes
Qualifications
- Able to work outside 8 hours in cold weather, including wind and snow
- Comfortable climbing and working from ladders and roofs, and able to lift 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- Lives within [25 miles] of [Longmont]
- Available for the full season, [NOW] through [FEB]
- Clear, respectful communication with customers and teammates
- Honest, dependable, and coachable. We can fix mistakes, but not hidden ones
- Experience in construction, roofing, landscaping, or other outdoor labor is a plus but not required. We’ll train you.
Salary : $25 - $35
