What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter position at Northside Welding & Fabrication?
Northside has been part of our community for many years. We are currently looking to add a few skilled and unskilled carpenters to join our team. We are looking for someone who can work alone and keep a positive attitude working with others as a team. If you are willing to follow safety guidelines and have an understanding of carpentry techniques, methods of construction and are proficient using carpentry equipment and measurement tools like power saws, hammers and rulers, apply now to get started gaining hands on experience. Experience preferred but we are willing to train people that are motivated, punctual and have a positive attitude.
- Applicants must have experience in the following areas:
- Basic skills: framing, trim work and siding
- Adding hardware such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
- Ability to operate both hand and power tools is required
- Ability to read blue prints, building plans and spec requirements
- Ability to operate: Skid steers, forklifts, and manlifts
- Driver license required and reliable transportation
- May require travel to different job sites up to 100 miles away (via company truck)
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more
- Must be willing to work overtime
Salary : $22 - $25
