Northside Machine & Tool is seeking a highly motivated CNC Programmer / Quality Control Technician to join our growing team.
This unique position is ideal for someone who enjoys both programming and precision inspection. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent programming CNC machines and improving manufacturing processes, while the remaining 50% will be focused on quality control and inspection.

Primary ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming (Approximately 50%)
- Program CNC mills and lathes using Mastercam.
- Develop efficient machining strategies for prototype and production parts.
- Create setup sheets and tooling documentation.
- Optimize cycle times and machining processes.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
- Collaborate with machinists to improve setups and production efficiency.
- Assist with fixture design and process development.
Quality Control (Approximately 50%)
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Operate and program our Keyence XM-Series CMM/measurement system.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Investigate quality concerns and help implement corrective actions.
- Work with machinists and management to continuously improve quality throughout the shop.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of CNC programming or machining experience.
- Strong Mastercam experience.
- Experience with precision inspection and quality control.
- Understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
- Experience using CMM equipment (Keyence experience is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team.
- Positive attitude and commitment to producing exceptional quality.
