About the Role
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Agronomy Operations & Maintenance Technician to help keep our fertilizer facility operating safely and efficiently.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with heavy equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and staying busy with a variety of hands-on tasks.
During the busy spring season, you will operate front-end loaders and other equipment to receive, move, blend, and load fertilizer. Throughout the rest of the year, you will focus on equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and keeping the facility ready for the next season.
What You'll Do
- Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to move, blend, and load fertilizer.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
- Assist with operating, monitoring, starting up, and shutting down plant equipment.
- Help keep equipment and the facility operating safely and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and productivity.
- Document maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Work with the team to prioritize repairs and prepare for seasonal needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Cross-train and assist in other areas as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with heavy equipment, plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a similar hands-on role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable operating heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical systems, tools, and repairs.
- Ability to identify and resolve basic electrical and equipment issues.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
- Class A CDL is a strong plus.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, and operate a pallet jack.

Work Environment
