Position Summary
Northside Charter High School seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Spanish language and culture, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
Student Engagement: Foster an inclusive and dynamic classroom culture that motivates students to participate actively in language learning.
Cultural Exploration: Incorporate cultural studies and activities to deepen students’ understanding and appreciation of Spanish-speaking countries.
Assessment and Feedback: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Differentiation: Adapt lessons to accommodate various learning levels and styles, ensuring all students are supported and challenged.
Classroom Management: Maintain an organized, respectful, and positive learning environment.
Collaboration: Work with colleagues to align curriculum, share resources, and participate in professional learning communities.
Parent Communication: Maintain open and proactive communication with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.

Assignment Expectations:
Although this position is titled Spanish Teacher, you may also be required to teach an elective course to fulfill a full-time schedule. This assignment may or may not be evenly balanced with your designated Spanish courses, depending on scheduling and institutional needs.
Professional Responsibilities: Consistently adhere to all deadlines, including the timely submission of lesson plans, the accurate and up-to-date maintenance of the gradebook, and the completion and submission of teacher reports by designated deadlines. Demonstrate punctuality and maintain a professional demeanor and outlook daily.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
Valid teaching certification for secondary Spanish (or ability to obtain certification before the start date).
Proficiency in Spanish and a strong understanding of language acquisition methods.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish or dual-credit courses.
Familiarity with incorporating technology into language instruction.
