Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Accountant with CDK DMS experience to support and strengthen our accounting processes. This role is ideal for someone who understands dealership accounting and can ensure our financials are accurate, timely, and aligned with best practices.
You will work closely with ownership and our operations team to help maintain clean books, improve processes, and fully leverage CDK.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile daily accounting activity within CDK Drive
- Post deals and ensure proper breakdown of front-end, back-end, pack, and fees
- Reconcile bank accounts, floorplan, and schedules (inventory, CIT, contracts in transit)
- Ensure accurate vehicle inventory accounting (costs, recon, packs, etc.)
- Assist with month-end close and financial statement accuracy
- Identify and correct accounting discrepancies or process breakdowns
- Help implement and maintain standardized accounting procedures
- Support CDK best practices and train internal team members where needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in automotive dealership accounting (required)
- Strong working knowledge of CDK Drive / CDK DMS (required)
- Understanding of dealership financial statements and schedules
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and identify issues proactively
- Experience in independent dealerships is a plus
Compensation
- $25–$45/hour, based on experience and depth of CDK expertise
