• Position: IDMC Architect
• Location: Skokie, IL / Warrenville, IL / Arlington Heights, IL
• Full Time
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Hybrid Role
• Some travel to other corporate locations (above) may be required.

What you will do:

• Design and develop the data warehouse/data mart applications utilizing Informatica tool to extract data from our Epic electronic medical record system and/or other sources.
• Responsible for the identification of data items through research, analysis, profiling, data mining, and data discovery of the source data from Epic and other clinical ancillary systems.
• Gathers business requirements by conducting meetings/interviews, and facilitating large-group/cross-functional sessions with customers, while containing the scope of the initiative.
• Interact with business analysts and IT analysts to efficiently and clearly interpret business requirement specification into detail data mappings.
• Design and develop complex SQL queries.
• Document data standards, requirement specifications, and business processes.
• Responsible for establishing best practices for several developers working in the same environment on different projects.
• Implement and manage Informatica Data Governance solutions including Data Profile Data Quality Data Catalog Data Marketplace and Glossary Mapping using IDMC CDGC CDQ MCC and CDP services
• Design, refine, and maintain enterprise data governance policies, standards, and process documentation in alignment with internal requirements and best practices.
• Ensure all governing documentation (policies, standards, process guides) is current, consistent, and aligned with enterprise data strategy.
• Collaborate with Data Governance Leads, business unit representatives, and key stakeholders to understand needs, gather feedback, and ensure governance deliverables are actionable and
• Monitor and enforce adherence to data governance policies across systems and processes.
• Catalog data assets, including datasets, schemas, and business glossaries, to enhance data accessibility and understanding.
• Maintain data lineage and traceability to support regulatory and audit requirements.
• Work with data stewards, business analysts, and IT teams to define data ownership, roles, and responsibilities.
• Administer Informatica Data Governance platforms, including user access, system configurations, and upgrades.

What you will need:

• Education:4-year college degree in computer science/information systems preferred or equivalent experience
• Experience:
• 4 years of enterprise data warehouse industry experience
• 4 years of experience with ETL design, development, architecture and implementing data warehouse data marts,
• Informatica Power Center experience a plus
• 4 years of experience in writing complex SQL
• Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, issue resolution and facilitation skills are required
• Excellent written and verbal communication and decision-making skills
• Experience and understanding of data sources including 3rd party RDBMS, SQL server and Oracle
• Experience in QA/QC testing a plus
• Project management skills a plus
• Experience with Business Intelligence tool a plus
• Sharing on-call production support with other members of the programming staff. At times, this may require resolving production problems during off hours such nights, weekends and holidays
• Familiarity with healthcare industry, healthcare information systems is a plus
• 2 years hands on experience in Informatica IDMCs services CDGC MCC CDP and CDQ are MUST
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and metadata management.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Informatica certifications (e.g., Data Governance, Data Quality) are highly desirable.
