Job Summary: Food Service personnel are responsible to the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, Food Field Supervisor and the Kitchen Manager. Assists the cook manager in kitchen operation; makes a "School Meal Pattern" lunch available to every school child; assists in preparing and serving of nutritious food as required by participation in the federal program; provides sanitary working conditions.
Salary: $18.25 per hour. Salary is based on 2024-25 Non-Represented Salary Schedule.
Work Year: Hours and days vary (Generally, 2-3 hours per day, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.)
Benefits: Substitutes become benefit eligible after subbing for 630 hours during the school year. Your coverage would go from the first of the month after reaching 630 hours through 8/31. After reaching 630 hours for two school years in a row, your coverage would be continuous for the following school year. Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package, for eligible positions. Generally, you are eligible for SEBB benefits if you are anticipated to work at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31).
