Registered Nurse - Emergency Department, Full Time Nights

Position Overview: Provides professional nursing care in a 24/7 emergency department serving patients of all ages. Responsible for conducting head-to-toe assessments, triaging patients, monitoring hemodynamic status, managing pain, and coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and adjust nursing interventions accordingly.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations.
• Utilize triage to ensure timely, appropriate treatment and accurately assign categories.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and hemodynamic data.
• Manage patient pain through education and appropriate techniques.
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient status and diagnostic results.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Current Nevada RN license.
• 2-3 years of emergency or critical care experience, or extensive EMS background.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to perform thorough assessments across diverse patient populations.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and quick decision-making skills.
