- Assist in patient education on dialysis adequacy and disease management.
- Evaluate vascular access, perform cannulation, monitor vital signs, and initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments.
- Record treatment parameters, respond to intradialytic issues, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor vascular access, manage alarms, and document treatment data accurately.
- Support infection control practices, maintain a clean environment, and assist in specimen collection.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and transitional care for new patients.
- Assist in staff training, supply management, and coordination of patient care plans.
- High school diploma or G.E.D., with necessary state or national certifications.
- Preferred prior patient care experience; CPR certification required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, and bending.
- Strong attention to safety, infection control, and documentation accuracy.
