Groundskeeper

The Northshore Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of all outdoor areas across the church and school campus. This position ensures that lawns, gardens, athletic fields, walkways, parking lots, and landscaped areas are well-maintained and present a welcoming environment for students, families, church members, staff, and visitors. The Groundskeeper works collaboratively with the Facilities Team to support campus operations, special events, and seasonal projects.
Responsibilities
- Landscape Maintenance: Mowing, edging, and trimming lawns. Planting and pruning trees, shrubs, and flowers, as well as weeding and mulching flower beds including window wells.
- Sanitation & Debris Removal: Clearing walkways, parking lots, and drainage areas of litter, leaves, and debris. Emptying outdoor trash and recycling receptacles.
- Safety & Hazard Mitigation: Sweeping, salting, or plowing sidewalks and driveways during snow or ice conditions. Identifying and reporting hazards like damaged pavement or unsafe trees.
- Facilities Support: Assisting with setup and tear-down for outdoor campus events, moving furniture, and helping with basic exterior repairs.
- Custodial Support: Assisting with general clean-ups and regimental custodial work.
Qualifications
- Born Again Christian walking faithfully with God, has a personal testimony, and lives a consecrated life devoted to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Regularly Attends a Christian Church
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, facility maintenance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of lawn care, irrigation systems, pruning, planting, and seasonal landscape maintenance.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools.
