What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities - Weekend & Substitute position at Northshore Christian Church?
The Facilities Custodian is responsible for assisting the Northshore Facilities Team in general facilities cleaning and basic maintenance operations for the church and Academy. This position reports directly to the Facilities Lead. This individual is expected to contribute to the team spirit of the staff, volunteers and visitors through fellowship, encouragement, cooperation, prayer, and other appropriate ways as he or she serves our Lord Jesus Christ.
Essential Functions
- Maintain regular Saturday and Sunday schedule with flexibility to fill in on weekday shifts
- General facilities cleaning, including but not limited to emptying the trash, cleaning and stocking restrooms, laundry, vacuuming carpets, cleaning and polishing hard surface floors.
- Locking/unlocking buildings, activating/deactivating the security system, locking/unlocking the parking gates.
- Informing department leadership of tools needed to accomplish daily tasks, ensuring a means to complete responsibilities.
- Basic facilities maintenance tasks as assigned include but not limited to patching/painting, desk repair, basic plumbing maintenance/repair.
- General landscaping maintenance as assigned: keeping parking lots and sidewalks clean and clear of trash, possible snow and ice removal in the winter.
- Perform other facilities related duties as assigned with demonstrated flexibility in scheduling and job assignment

Educational and Experience Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent
· Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred

· Born Again Christian walking faithfully with God, has a personal testimony, and lives a consecrated life devoted to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
· Continuous growth in maturity through daily prayer, Bible reading, and witnessing

Salary : $21 - $24
