Position Title: DAPE Instructor
Reports To: Assistant Special Education Director/Executive Director

Necessary Qualifications
- MN DAPE licensure or the ability to secure an out of field license through PELSB
- Must possess excellent written, verbal and listening skills necessary to communicate with staff, students, principals and the general public.
- Patience and understanding in working with students of all abilities
- Experience working with a special education team
- Be able to organize and independently follow a schedule.
- Be able to travel to multiple school locations
- Must be able to multitask.
- Keep all data/information confidential.
- Consult with staff regarding physical education needs of students in member schools.
- Assess and write evaluation reports as part of a team for students referred for having a need for DAPE
- Write goals and objectives for students qualifying for DAPE services
- Progress monitor goals and objectives for students qualifying for DAPE services
- Modify and adapt physical education games, skills, environment and materials to promote students accessing general education physical education.
- Consistently communicate with team members regarding the needs of students.
- Other duties as assigned.
