What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garage Door Service Technician position at Northland Door Systems?
We have been a family operated business for 40 years and operate on a mission to provide the best possible products and service. We are actively hiring skilled service repair technicians.
Duties
Maintenance of various items pertaining to garage doors, rolling steel, dock levelers
· Remove and disassemble old doors (sectional, rolling steel), openers, dock levelers and dispose
· Fabricate parts or components as needed
· Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning
· Follow supervision
· Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed, ability to take pictures with equipment provided (tablets provided)
· Run wiring to connect equipment
· Repair or replace worn or broken door parts
· Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance
· Must be able to work alone or with others as projects require
· Willingness/Ability to train others
Qualifications
Must be able to lift 50 – 75lbs maybe be higher at times.
· Ability and willingness for continuous learning
· Must have a clean driving record
· Ability/willingness to work overtime as needed or required by company policy
· Arc welding (skill level pay based on experience)
