Commercial Garage Door Installer

Duties

Installation technicians are responsible for the installation and maintenance of various items pertaining to garage doors, rolling steel, dock levelers

· Remove and disassemble old doors (sectional, rolling steel), openers, dock levelers and dispose

· Fabricate parts or components as needed

· Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning

· Install doors, openers, dock levelers, dock seals, rolling steel doors, Certified Fire Doors

· Perform installation work using hand tools and power equipment, including drills, saws, power tools, ladders and other related equipment in accordance with the company standards

· Follow supervision

· Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed, ability to take pictures with equipment provided (tablets provided)

· Run wiring to connect equipment

· Repair or replace worn or broken door parts

· Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance

· Must be able to work alone or with others as projects require

· Willingness/Ability to train others

Qualifications

·Must have at least 1 year garage door installation experience

Must be able to lift 50 – 75lbs maybe be higher at times.

· Ability and willingness for continuous learning

· Must have a clean driving record

· Ability/willingness to work overtime as needed or required by company policy

· Arc welding (skill level pay based on experience)

· Fire Door Certification (pay based on certification obtained)

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
