We are seeking a skilled and personable Optometric Technician with a background or strong interest in skincare and aesthetics. This dual-role position combines clinical optometric support with assisting in skincare treatments and patient education. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and passionate about both eye health and skin wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary tests on patients and document medical history
- Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care
- Provide patient care and support during exams and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records through an online system
- Handle front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance information when needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
Skills:
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to provide friendly, compassionate, and professional service
- Experience in customer service is a plus
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Support aesthetic services such as IPL, RF, or other treatments
- Background in skincare, aesthetics, or dermatology strongly preferred

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
