Qualifications:
Possess at least two years of college credits (60 credits) through an accredited institution, an associate's or higher degree, or a passing score on an approved assessment demonstrating the ability to assist with instruction in reading/language arts, writing, mathematics, and school readiness (the district can provide support for candidates needing to complete the assessment). Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of child development and behavioral management strategies, skills in building positive rapport with students and adapting instruction to individual needs, and the ability to remain calm while managing challenging behaviors. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a special education team and maintain confidentiality in accordance with district policies.
Pay Rate/Range: $21.86/hr. - $23.51/hr.
Compensation/Benefits/Perks: This position is not eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities: Will work as a team member to assist one or more students in completing academic tasks, increasing social skills, providing redirection and intervention of behavior, assisting with self-care and functional skills, and other tasks as identified within assigned students' IEPs. Will work within the special education setting under the direction of a licensed special education teacher.
