Responsibilities
- Manage the church office and telephone with professionalism, greeting visitors and congregation members warmly while taking detailed messages and providing exceptional customer support.
- Operate multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when needed.
- Maintain accurate records and handle church expense payments QuickBooks, including donations, contributions, and expense tracking.
- Handle data entry tasks with precision, including updating church databases, member records, and event schedules.
- Organize and file documents systematically—both digitally and physically—to ensure easy retrieval and compliance.
- Assist with calendar management for church events, meetings, and appointments using Microsoft Office tools and other scheduling software.
- Support office management duties such as proofreading communications, managing correspondence, and coordinating supplies to keep the office running smoothly.
- Perform clerical tasks including typing reports, preparing bulletins or newsletters, and proofreading all church communications for clarity and accuracy. Required skills in Publisher, Powerpoint, Word, Excel.
Experience
- Proven office experience in a clerical or administrative role within a diverse task environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar), and data entry tools.
- Working knowledge/use of QuickBooks bookkeeping software is required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a church setting.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and a professional phone manner.
- Previous experience in customer service or personal assistant roles is advantageous.

Pay: From $21.85 per hour
