What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Lead Teacher position at Northern Tier?
Northern Tier Community Action Head Start is seeking a full-time preschool teacher. Class size averages 17 children and there are two other support personnel present in each classroom.
At a minimum, the candidate must possess an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. The minimum starting rate for this position is $18.30/hours for 37.5 hours per week. Those with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or HDFS (Human Development and Family Studies) will begin at a rate to be determined by the agency wage scale.
Skills needed to be successful in this position include excellent classroom management with a focus on active supervision, lesson planning, ability to multi-task, consistent attendance, computer skills, and ability to work as a team.
