We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of preschool children.
Position Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with children ages 3-5 supporting their unique educational needs. You will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Teaching and guiding students to achieve their developmental and academic goals
- Collaborating closely with therapists, fellow educators, administrative staff, and families to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment
- Maintaining clear, consistent communication with colleagues and parents about student progress
Qualifications:
- Must be currently certified or in process of obtaining a Special Education Certification to teach preschool education;
- Certified Teaching Assistants Level III with the commitment of obtaining a Special Education Certification may be considered;
- Strong commitment to the New York State Education Department’s Code of Ethics.
About CES:
Children's Educational Services, Inc. operates three locations across Chautauqua County: Fredonia, Sinclairville, and Jamestown. With nine classrooms (seven integrated and two 8:1:1 classrooms), CES is dedicated to providing top-tier education in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is a full-time, 12-month position that includes the school year and a 6-week summer session.
