Salary

$28.37-$33.89 per hour.

SUMMARY

This full-time, benefit eligible Family Based Mental Health Professional will provide family therapy, individual, group or other treatment modalities or interventions within the home, school, and community as necessary to maintain the family in a stable home condition; The Family Based Mental Health Professional will serve as the lead therapist within the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for screening, assessing, treatment planning and after care discharge planning for all families assigned.
  2. Attend and participate in appropriate conferences, meetings, training sessions and treatment sessions as they relate to the families in this project.
  3. Conduct family, individual and group therapy and case management goals will be linked directly to the treatment plan, treatment plan reviews and case notes.
  4. Insure that psychotherapeutic and case management goals will be linked directly to the plan, treatment plan reviews and case notes.
  5. Establish a close and extended family like relationship with identified families as a unit.
  6. Provide linkage to community resource, and all other appropriate services for the family as a whole.
  7. Provide for 24 hour emergency services 7 days per week, as scheduled, and provide back up for other team members when appropriate.
  8. Perform case management activities or monitor them as necessary to ensure the success of the treatment plan.
  9. Through collaboration and/or supervision, ensure the involvement of the mental health worker in the assessment, treatment, planning, treatment delivery, relationship with the family and discharge planning.
  10. Arrange for relief services as required by the treatment plan.
  11. Present, with the mental health worker, the progress and status of the plan at staffing.
  12. Responsible to the program supervisor for program statistics and other needed documents, which may include weekly productivity reports and other basic administrative duties.
  13. Ensure proper disbursement of FSS funds.
  14. Attends weekly staff meetings.
  15. Attends quarterly general staff meetings.
  16. Participates in ongoing in-service training programs.
  17. Utilize NTC’s Electronic Health Records (E.H.R.) during tenure of employment. Initial training and on-going training will be provided to employee by respective supervisor and/or assigned team member.
  18. Employee will be proficient in their job position within six (6) months. If at any time an employee feels they need more training/education, employee is to submit a request for such through their supervisor, manger, and/or director.
  19. Other duties and functions as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. It is preferred that the Mental Health Professional have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, nursing, education or any other graduate degree in the field of human services, plus two years experience.
  2. Knowledge of psychotherapy modalities, principals and practices as well as demonstrative capacity to further develop the same.
  3. Knowledge of individual and group behavior and interrelationships between families, social, economic, psychological and physiological factors.
  4. Good knowledge and ability in the utilization of therapeutic skills and principals.
  5. Ability to plan and integrate all clinical services received by the family or child involved in the program.
  6. Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate clinical records, make clinical and formulate service plans and family goals.
  7. Ability to supervise and work as lead therapist in conjunction with a secondary family based mental health worker.
  8. Ability to perform basic administrative duties and tasks assigned by the program supervisor.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


1. Must be able to travel.

2. Current/Valid Driver’s License.

3. Position may/will require use of own vehicle.

4. Sedentary work: duties require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry push, and pull articles such as files and computer binders.


WORK ENVIRONMENT


1. Works in well-lit office environment.

2. Works in the home, community, and school.
