Tool Maker Machinist- HDS

Job Summary

Tool room machinist will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to: safety, housekeeping, continuous improvement, making new details, fixtures, die components, gauges, and all other duties as assigned 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Safety and housekeeping
• Running Tool Room equipment. 
• Die repair. 
• Assisting all team members in the Welding department with troubleshooting, making and replacing weld electrodes. 
• Create work orders and input them into maintain x program
• Assist all dept with machining needs.
• All other jobs assigned.

Required Experience

• 2 years experience with machine tools, CNC tools, mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc. 
• Back ground in stamping dies or similar applications a plus
• Accredited technical training facility a plus

Required Safety Equipment

• All ppe as required by company for the dept

Educational skills required

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Trade school/certificate journeyman card in related field is preferred. 

Training required

• On the job training
• 2 years of machining experience required. 

Physical Job Requirements – ALL jobs

• Must be able to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift 40 lobs. on a consistent basis
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, 10 hour or 12-hour shifts.
• Must be able to stand 10 - 12 hours daily. 
• Must have physical dexterity.
