SUMMARY: Under the immediate supervision of the Vice President for Development and Community Relations, the NOCF Scholarship and Stewardship Coordinator should be a student-centered fundraising professional who will have direct responsibility for supporting the administration of the Foundation’s portfolio of scholarship funds, ensuring a smooth, equitable, and donor and student-focused process. This role works closely with the development team, college divisions, the NOC scholarship office, and others to grow the scholarship program, strengthen donor relationships, and support student success. While a full-time NOC employee, this position is funded through the Northern Oklahoma College Foundation, Inc. (NOCF).

Location: NOC Tonkawa with Institution-wide responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Support donor management and stewardship activities for the Foundation
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of a scholarship awareness campaign with a student-centered approach, strong donor engagement, and strategic outreach to maximize visibility and impact
  • Serves as liaison between the College scholarship office and the Foundation on administration of NOCF scholarships
  • Identify opportunities to improve NOCF scholarship processes while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and alignment with donor intent
  • Works directly with Scholarship office to ensure Foundation scholarships are listed/updated on College scholarship application and website
  • Serves as a member on the Northern Oklahoma College Foundation Board of Trustees
  • Collaborate with Development team to ensure donor communications align with College standards, assist with compiling impact statement and gathering scholarship materials for donor reports
  • Stays current on state and federal regulations to ensure compliance; Completes all College-required trainings, including Title IX and FERPA
  • Maintain job manual for position with regular updates to describe processes when substitutions are needed
  • Perform all other duties necessary to accomplish the educational objective of the College and Foundation and/or as assigned by the Vice President for Development and Community Relations

QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, strong presentation and public speaking skills as well as expertise to accomplish the above essential duties and responsibilities are required. The NOCF Scholarship and Stewardship Coordinator must use independent judgment and initiative in the planning, organization, and performance of responsible scholarship and donor stewardship work; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Creativity; team player, strong relationship-building and networking abilities, detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills, and proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications, fundraising software (such as Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge) and scholarship software are preferred. Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively as well as maintain confidentiality of donor, student, and institutional information. Weekend and evening work may be required during peak periods with a flexible 40-hour work week schedule. Subject to satisfactory Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure which includes a criminal background check.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A minimum educational level of a bachelor’s degree with preference in finance, business, nonprofit management, or a related field along with two to three years of previous professional related experience in scholarship and donor stewardship, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Preference given to candidates with higher education and foundation experience with knowledge in donor management software experience, i.e., Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
