This**Occupational Therapist**opportunity is full time @ 40 hours per week, offers full benefits, and a convenient day shift schedule. This position is for our**NEW 22 bed Acute Rehab Hospital**in Northwest Reno.We are searching for a dynamic**Occupational Therapist****.** You will be responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical/occupational therapy modalities of treatment for patients during their acute rehab stay. Therapists administer treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability from diagnoses such as stroke, amputation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury. Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff. The staff therapist participates in operational aspects of the department such as interdisciplinary team meetings, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Ensures that documentation meets requirements, and treatment uses an evidence based approach. Ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training and organizational safety programs.

• MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**:
  
  

Current state licensure for Occupational Therapy.

Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred.
