What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Mechanic position at Northern Marine Inc.?
We are a Service, Dockage, and Storage marina located just outside of Clayton, NY. We work on all boats with inboard, outboard, and I/O engines.
We are looking to hire a Marine Mechanic to perform both minor and major boat and engine repairs, winterize boats, and perform general tasks around the boat yard. The position is full time, however we operate in a very relaxed atmosphere and extended time off is available in the wintertime if that is your preference. Mechanical Training is available through the Mercury University and we will pay for online or in person classes related to Marine Repair.
We are looking for motivated candidates who are:
- Timely
- Reliable
- Have a Minimum Basic Mechanical understanding
- Basic Carpentry Skills (not required but preferable)
This is a full time, year round position.
Initial salary will be based on prior skill and knowledge with advancement opportunities as you improve your skills and acquire certifications
