Truck Driver- CDL-A 1st Shift Local

Job Description:

• 1st shift schedule: Starts between 5:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Workweek: Monday through Friday
• Shift length: 10–12 hour shifts
• Pay rate: $23–$24 per hour (based on experience)
• Overtime policy: Straight pay after 40 hours (no time-and-a-half)
• Weekly hours: Approximately 50–55 hours per week

Job Requirements:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A).
• Clean or acceptable driving record (MVR check)
• Must comply with FMCSA/DOT regulations (hours of service, logbooks, etc.)
• Previous truck driving experience (often preferred, NOT required)
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and defensive driving
• Ability to load, secure, and inspect cargo
• Basic ability to use GPS/navigation and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
• Reliable attendance and ability to meet delivery schedules
• Ability to lift moderate weight (for tarping, securing freight, etc.)
• Good communication skills with dispatch and customers
• Willingness to work long hours, early mornings, or flexible routes depending on freight needs
