Hours: This position is PRN with flexible scheduling. A minimum of 2 shifts per month (1 weekend shift) is required to maintain active employment.
What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)
Deliver Compassionate, Clinical Care:
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with resident care plans, physician orders, and community policies.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and intervene as needed to ensure health and safety.
Lead & Support the Care Team:
- Support CNAs and other direct care staff to ensure consistent, quality care.
- Communicate changes in resident status to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in care planning, resident assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
Foster a Safe & Supportive Environment:
- Uphold infection control, safety, and emergency response protocols at all times.
- Promote dignity, comfort, and respect in all resident interactions.
- Respond promptly to call lights and urgent care needs with a calm and professional presence.
Be a Clinical & Community Leader:
- Mentor new staff and share knowledge with team members.
- Collaborate with families and other departments to meet holistic care goals.
- Represent the nursing team positively in community events and care conferences.
What You Bring to the Table (Besides Your Clinical Skills & Big Heart)
Licensure & Credentials:
- Active RN or LPN license in the state of Wisconsin required.
- CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in skilled nursing or senior living preferred, but not required.
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and calm under pressure while leading others.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout a full shift.
