As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor, making them feel valued and comfortable
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
- Coordinate seating arrangements to maximize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations, ensuring their needs are met with hospitality and care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold our high standards of guest service
- Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service operations throughout shifts
Requirements
- Proven experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant environments, demonstrating strong guest relations skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred; experience with hotel or hospitality guest services is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous experience serving or working in hospitality environments enhances your ability to anticipate guest needs
