JOB TITLE: Tower Foreman
STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Employee
REPORTS TO: Director
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 2 years preferred.
JOB SUMMARY: The Foreman is responsible for overseeing and organizing the daily field operations of assigned projects. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant project execution while managing field activities related to safety, quality, cost control, and innovation. The Foreman also ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards, as well as all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision & Oversight: Oversee daily operations on an assigned project, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, in compliance with project specifications, and in alignment with safety and quality standards. Actively participate in fieldwork as needed, combining hands-on involvement with oversight responsibilities. Continuously monitor field operations for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors on-site. Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders (e.g., project managers and supervisors) regarding project status, changes, resource needs, and any issues encountered.
- Site Assessment & Preparation: Review job sites to confirm that the details provided in project documentation align with actual on-site conditions. In cases where documentation is incomplete or unavailable, assess the situation in the field and develop a plan on-site. Adjust resources, equipment, and crew assignments as necessary based on these assessments.
- Safety Leadership: Conduct job hazard analyses and lead daily/weekly safety briefings (toolbox talks). Enforce all safety protocols, including the company safety policies and procedures. Implement corrective actions promptly when necessary to ensure a safe work environment.
- Team Development: Train and mentor crew members on safety practices, construction techniques, and equipment use. Foster positive labor relations and build a cohesive, productive team.
- Site Security: Ensure the work site is secure at the end of each shift to protect the public, safeguard company equipment and property (onsite, home, and office), and prevent theft or damage. Implement proper security measures to ensure that all tools, machinery, materials, and vehicles are accounted for and stored safely.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily tower and wireless construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Direct crews in the installation and maintenance of towers, antennas, and related wireless equipment.
- Ensure all work performed at heights follows proper fall protection and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with customers, inspectors, and subcontractors to support project schedules and resolve on-site issues.
- Review project plans and ensure tasks are carried out according to specifications.
- Monitor quality of workmanship and enforce compliance with safety and company policies.
- Ensure job sites are properly secured, clean, and organized at the end of each shift.
- Provide daily updates to supervisors and project managers regarding job progress.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical Expertise: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
- Professional Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail for working with infrastructure and associated equipment.
- Licensing & Certification: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a DOT physical certification. A Class A CDL is preferred.
- Operation of Various Equipment: Experience with the operation of a wide range of equipment required for project completion.
- Leadership Ability: Demonstrated ability to assign tasks, provide clear instructions, and motivate crew members to work safely, productively, and to high standards of quality.
