Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine is seeking an experienced, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a per diem opportunity on our Behavioral Health Consultation Services team. This dynamic team provides psychiatric consultation services to 20 emergency departments and 18 inpatient units across the state.
Details:
- On-site shifts at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center (Bangor, ME) with tele-psych services to other locations
- Shift options: Monday-Friday, 8a-4p
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team with a designated psychiatrist, two other PMHNPs, clinical social workers, counselors, and discharge planners
- Independently see patients throughout their hospital or ED stay, determine next steps for psychiatric care, and complete assessments for psychiatric medications during and after their stay
- Provide recommendations to attending physicians and collaborate on treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounding, patient case reviews, and family team meetings
