Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide adult inpatient care on our campus in Bangor, Maine. In this position, you will join an experienced team of psychiatrists, other PMHNPs, and support staff at the largest inpatient facility in central/northern Maine.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4p
• Participate in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of acute psychiatric patients
• Proactively engage the patient in treatment and discharge planning
• Provide mental health treatment via medication management, psychotherapy and other interventions
• Consult with other healthcare providers and work collaboratively with members of the treatment team
• Function as a clinical leader, resource, and preceptor
• Contribute to quality improvement on the unit with an emphasis on safety
