We are looking for a technically skilled, design-driven Project Manager to join their Multi-Family team in San Diego or Irvine, CA. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to take ownership of complex projects and contribute meaningfully to a studio that values both craft and community.
This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at their San Diego or Irvine office.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate all project efforts—administrative and technical—to ensure efficient, cost‑effective execution through all phases, including Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
- Estimate fees, define scope of work, and assist with preparing proposals and contracts; monitor progress to ensure adherence to terms.
- Actively manage client budgets, schedules, programs, project communications, documentation, and project team assignments.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, guiding projects to successful completion while maintaining strong, trusted relationships.
- Provide day‑to‑day oversight of project teams, monitoring the work of less experienced staff and supporting their development.
What You'll Bring
- Substantial experience using project management tools for project initiation, planning, billing, and labor tracking.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- A confident, solutions‑oriented approach, with the ability to maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Proven ability to provide clear direction and inspiring leadership to architectural staff.
- Strong proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience coordinating all aspects of architectural projects, administrative and technical, through all phases of development, including Schematic Design, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
- Demonstrated experience with multifamily housing projects.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB‑accredited program.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
- Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions (visa sponsorship is not available for this position).
