The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over short or long distances, ensuring safe and timely deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Perform route driving to deliver goods to specified locations
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws while driving
- Conduct routine automotive maintenance and repairs as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to handle different types of cargo and adjust driving techniques accordingly
- Knowledge of automotive repair for basic maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with flatbed or tanker trucks
- Previous work with various heavy equipment vehicles
