Job Summary
We are a wholesome family owned company. We need a part-time Local CDL Class A Truck Driver. You'll be asked to be flexible with our various routes and drive our box trucks at times. Our work loads are primarily LTL (Less-Than-Truckload). We offer bonuses for safe driving. Confidently take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely within the Anchorage/Mat-Su local area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial fleet vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and box trucks. All of our trucks are automatics. You’ll be the vital link in ensuring timely deliveries, proper load handling, and exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and box trucks within local routes.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Deliver freight accurately to designated locations while adhering to scheduled routes and delivery timelines.
- Manage documentation related to deliveries, loads, and vehicle maintenance logs with attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean driving record by following all traffic laws and safety procedures diligently.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to freight handling, load securement, and vehicle operation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involved in loading/unloading freight and inspecting vehicles regularly.
- Capable of lifting 50LBs.
