Why we need you.

We're seeking a Finance Controller to join the leadership team at our facility in Junction City just north of the airport in Eugene, Oregon. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, oversee daily transactions, and drive continuous improvement. Your role involves close collaboration with plant operations, managing inventory accuracy, and leading teams in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cost accounting. You will be an integral part of our team, collaborating closely and working hands-on with others in roles such as Inventory Control, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Order Entry, as well as plant operations staff. Join us to foster a culture of partnership and excellence between finance and production, enhancing our overall operational efficiency.

Who you are.

You are a detail-oriented financial professional with experience in accounting and reporting, ideally in manufacturing. You excel in collaboration, working closely with both financial and production teams to drive improvements. Your leadership and hands-on approach ensure accurate financial processes and seamless integration with plant operations. With strong inventory management skills, you are committed to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and operational excellence.

·        Responsible for the accounting functions of the plant and ensures that its execution follows corporate accounting and finance policies and procedures. General areas of accounting responsibility are: General ledger and all supporting sub ledgers, including fixed assets, inventories, receivables, cash, prepaids, payables, accruals, and various governmental requirements.

·        Oversees/works closely with the inventory coordinator to ensure accuracy and completeness of finished goods, raw materials and packaging inventories in a FIFO food processing environment.

·        Develop an understanding of the bills of material and costing structure within the ERP, be able to configure/make changes to the bills of materials as required.

·        Leads/executes monthly financial close process\reporting cycle, reconcilement of trial balance accounts as well as participates in the annual budget preparation process.

·        Supervises/administers plant accounts payable, invoicing, accounts receivable and inventories.

·        Executes capital project tracking and reporting and supports corporate fixed asset accounting.

·        Maintains/analyzes monthly plant yield/efficiency reporting and other plant-level performance metrics.

Requirements

·        CPA

·        A minimum of five years of broad-based industry accounting experience. Food processing or manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

·        Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

·        Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

·        Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams.
