What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician/ Mechanic position at Northern Equipment Rental?
Service technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance and inspections of all equipment in the rental inventory. Must also be able to diagnose malfunctions or failures and outline a repair plan.
Must be a self starter, able to stay motivated and on task with limited supervision. Must be comfortable with repair work on diesel and gas engines, transmissions, pulleys, and hydraulic systems. Customer service experience is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required. Trade school or mechanics school preferred. Documented work experience may be considered in place of formal training. Position potential to become lead mechanic for the right individual.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Experience:
- Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)
