Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Manage classroom routines to support early childhood education standards and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and growth
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of abuse or neglect promptly and appropriately
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings with classroom management skills
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and child safety procedures
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs using inclusive teaching strategies
- Strong child supervision skills combined with behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior
- Excellent communication skills for parent interactions and teamwork within a childcare environment
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a lively and supportive atmosphere
