technology, facilities, and labs. The department offers the Doctor of
Occupational Therapy degree in a Traditional or Hybrid path, preparing
students to work with clients across all stages of life in a wide range
of settings. This accredited degree is the only public and non-profit
graduate program in the Southwest United States.
**About the Position**
Northern Arizona University\'s entry-level doctoral Occupational Therapy
(OT) Program, located in the downtown Phoenix Bioscience Core Campus,
invites doctorally prepared candidates to apply to full-time, 9 month
clinical faculty appointments available that align with their expertise.
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include teaching
traditional or hybrid courses related to one or more of the following
topics: occupational therapy theory and practice models, occupational
therapy foundations of practice, the occupational therapy process across
the lifespan, and other specialized topics aligned with program needs.
This position is for the hybrid pathway with preferred experience in
pediatrics. The hybrid pathway includes online learning as well as
in-person labs 8 weekends per semester. In addition, clinical faculty
will engage in student advisement, applied scholarly activities,
professional service, and additional duties that support the program\'s
mission and growth.

**Responsibilities Include**
- Engage in ongoing productive communication with faculty and
- Teach and co-teach courses ensuring adherence to program goals,
Education (ACOTE) standards.
- Exemplify and promote the curriculum\'s mission and learning
- Participate in formulating and implementing the department\'s
- Participate in department wide accreditation requirements and
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct.
- Maintain current professional certification, licensure requirements,
- Maintain professional practice knowledge base and clinical expertise

- Use current research findings and scholarly works to improve OT
- Promote professionalism by modeling and encouraging professional
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to support program
- Mentor students in academic, professional, and research endeavors to

- 3 years or more of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
- Eligible for OT licensure in Arizona.
- An earned doctoral degree in T or related field from an institution
- Is able to broadly explain an introductory scholarship agenda.
- Current National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Clinical expertise in one or multiple of the following areas:
geriatric practice, upper extremity.
- Record of effective teaching and advising at the university level.
- Record of effective fieldwork supervision, capstone mentoring,
- Record of sustained professional service and professional
- Experience with the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy
- Significant scholarly or creative work and/or professional
- Certified practice-related specialization as recognized by the
recognized certification process.
