What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical IT - PRN SMH position at NORTHEASTERN HEALTH SYSTEM?
Maintains established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Provides users with clinical software technical support including in-services as needed.
Ensures prompt and courteous feedback to requests.
Provides technical assistance to staff including interpretation of specifications.
Coordinate with Clinical IT team related to work orders, documentation tools and physician related documentation.
Manages service request.
Assist in creating/maintaining documentation in tools in Clinical IT system.
Assist in creating/updating and communicating various hospital policies as they pertain to the information system and clinical IT.
Maintain information technology to meet changing practice requirements and regulations.
Provide competency and ongoing education for clinical staff and physicians related to information system.
Serve as the contact person for various aspects of the information system.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
Attends meetings as required.
Follows policies and procedures regarding attendance and work hours.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education - Associates Degree in Nursing or Information Systems
Minimum Experience - Three (3) years of hospital experience with an electronic medical record
Preferred Education - Bachelor’s in nursing or Information Systems
Preferred Experience - 5 years of nursing experience with an electronic medical record Preferred
Certification, Certification in specialty field
