What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Health Nurse - Full Time SMH position at NORTHEASTERN HEALTH SYSTEM?
Position Summary
Directs and manages the nursing components of the Employee Health Program. Assists in marketing the program, developing protocols, and reporting and record keeping. Position reports to the Director of Nursing.
Position Accountabilities
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety,
environmental and infection control standards.
Coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of the short-and long-term goals and objectives for the employee health nurse aspects of the program.
Maintains the tracking system for the required employee health programs including, vaccinations as required by the OSHA and the state health department.
Refers employees to physicians when needed.
Assists in appropriate documentation, recording, and reporting of work-related illnesses/injuries, exposures and infection control.
Performs data entry of information.
Follows policies and procedures regarding attendance and work hours.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
Attends meetings as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education - Vocational Training
Minimum Experience - Sufficient previous clinical experience
Requited Certification - Registration Oklahoma RN or LPN license; BLS certification
Preferred Education - Associate’s Degree
Required Course(s)/Training ACLS within six months of assuming position.
Preferred Course(s)/Training AMLS
