Responsibilities
- Select and prepare products for shipment using order picking techniques, including manual handling and the operation of equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts
- Load and unload materials safely using heavy equipment while following OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through inventory control procedures and update inventory management software regularly
- Pack orders efficiently, ensuring proper packaging standards are met for safe shipping and receiving
- Assist with stock replenishment, stocking shelves, and organizing warehouse storage areas for optimal workflow
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software to track order status, inventory levels, and shipment details
- Follow all safety guidelines including PPE use, heavy lifting techniques, and proper materials handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and inventory management
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and logistics processes like load & unload procedures
- Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence under OSHA standards
- Technical proficiency in operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in warehouse supervision or warehouse management is a plus but not required
