What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Specialist Act position at Northeastern Center Inc?
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Employment Specialist is a key member of the ACT team, responsible for assisting individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) in obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment. This role supports clients using an integrated, person-centered approach, ensuring employment services align with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model and the ACT model of care. The Employment Specialist collaborates with other ACT team members, community partners, and employers to promote vocational success and long-term recovery.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two years in Vocational Rehabilitation or specialized employment services =PSO Membership/Discipline: Case Facilitator eligible for appointment as an OBHP (Other Behavioral Health Professional).
Licenses/Certification: Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license.
Preferred Certifications: IPS (Individual Placement and Support) certification. CPRP (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner)
First shift, full time: Monday thru Friday 8a to 5p.
Salary based on experience.
