TITLE Youth Worker

REPORTS TO Lead Counselor and Site Supervisor
STATUS Part-time/Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
In charge of client transport to and from the center, as well as to all community outings and activities. Youth Worker is also responsible for monitoring all “non-group” and “recreation” time, facilitating “educational support” and “computer literacy” time, as well as helping clients to plan and prepare the evening meals. Youth Worker will supervise the dinner and recreation hour, and help to develop any new cultural, educational, or social activities as he/she sees fit. Additionally, he/she can be utilized to transport any clients to NET’s main facility for additional appointments as necessary. Youth Mentors support the team and work with the youth referred to the program to improve youth engagement, participation, and successful program completion. The Youth Mentor will work with clients in and outside of the center. Specific functions of the ERC, include transporting clients, keeping daily attendance logs, participating in daily activities with clients at the center and completing daily forms for client’s charts. Assisting Lead Youth Mentor whenever needed.

· High School Diploma
· Prior direct consumer experience in juvenile justice and/or child welfare system
· Valid Driver’s license with a clean and safe driving record
· PA Child Abuse Clearance required
· PA Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training Required
· FBI Clearance required
· PA Criminal Clearance required
· Health Assessment required
· TB Test required
· Adult and Pediatric CPR Certification Required
