REPORTS TO: CUA Director of Community Engagement

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time

THE ORGANIZATION:

Net Community Care is a division of Northeast Treatment Centers (NET), a non-profit organization serving the Philadelphia region. As a designated Community Umbrella Agency (CUA) for the Department of Human Services, Net Community Care operates CUA1 and CUA7, providing comprehensive child welfare services focused on safety, permanency, and family well-being. Grounded in trauma-informed care and cultural humility, Net Community Care works to stabilize families, support youth development, and ensure children can grow in safe, nurturing, and permanent homes. The organization is committed to strengthening communities through collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

 

SUMMARY

Strengthening Family Coordinators provide support to the overall CUA team. The focus is on working toward the target goals of improving safety, permanency, and well-being of children, youth, and families. The team supports the community’s needs, develops & maintains a network of key community leaders and stakeholders while serving as the primary point of contact between the CUA and the community members within the designated geographic region. Coordinate and support family and community outreach, promote the programs and services offered by the CUA, and provide guidance and feedback to CUA leadership to help address the unique issues, concerns, and needs of the community. Support the planning of community programming, such as: Parent Cafes, Parent Engagement Activities and Training.

 

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

As the Strengthening Families Coordinator, success will be defined by a combination of strategic planner for community served, community navigator, strong group leader and an expert in community engagement.

 

Professional Success

· Consistent implementation of Parent Cafés, Strengthening Families trainings, and workshops with strong family participation.

· Effective recruitment and support of facilitators and Parent Café hosts.

· Strong community linkages established, expanding partnerships with schools, providers, and local organizations.

· Increased visibility and engagement of programs through social media and outreach platforms.

· Timely, detailed reporting on program outcomes, family engagement, and community partnerships.

· Strengthened ability to prepare reports and data summaries for leadership and stakeholders.

 

· Families report feeling more connected, empowered, and supported through CUA resources.

 

Developmental Success

· Willingness to deepen their expertise in family engagement models, facilitation, and program coordination.

· Willingness to build professional confidence in training others, leading community events, and managing partnerships.

· Consistently expanding skills in social media outreach, community relations, and public communication.

· Ongoing professional growth toward leadership roles within Prevention & Intervention, Community Engagement, or Family Services.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field including but not limited to: Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Divinity, or Public Health

· Minimum of 2 years work experience in a position that involves working in child, youth, and family serving systems

· Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field require a minimum of 3 years experience working in child, youth, and family serving systems

· Ability to use computers with proficient skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Knowledge of child and family service systems

· Knowledge of social work values and/or child welfare services

· Valid Driver’s License (issued by state in which employee lives) and safe driving record and proof of insurance coverage

· Other duties as assigned
