Northeast Technical Institute is looking for a dynamic, outgoing individual with strong people skills to fill a Career Services Advisor role for our Scarborough campus. This is an opportunity to embark on a career that will allow you to truly make a difference in people's lives. As a Career Services Advisor at NTI, you will be the final, critical step our students need to take on the path to their new careers, providing them with the tools, skills and connections necessary for accomplishing their goals.

- Believe in the value of what we do, our mission statement and take responsibility for each student's career goals - removing any obstacles to their path to success.
- Facilitate student placement and externship opportunities for soon to be grads
- Develop and manage a pipeline of employers to place grads with
- Partner with employers for class presentations and grad placement opportunities
- Provide resources for job search assistance to students
- Collaborate with our other departments for student resume preparation, interview skills, and soft skills
- Meet with, coach and prepare students to enter the workforce in their new career
- Identify the right match of student to employer through various recruiting and sourcing strategies
- Maintain student placement information and tracking systems
- Track progress of student job searches, following up with students and confirming job placement
- Maintaining job placement information for accreditation purposes
- Conducting occupational advisory meetings as required by accreditation
- Assist with planning and organizing events
Requirements:
This is not a remote position. Must be able to commute to our Scarborough location.
- Successful record of sales and/or recruitment experience
- xperience with MS Office and Google Suite
- Excellent communicator
- Excellent organizational, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Ability to maintain and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
