Job Duties
- Serve as a substitute teacher in various high schools in the emergency or planned absence of a Northeast State Dual Enrollment Instructor.
- Upon arrival at the high school, report to the Main Office and check-in to complete required sign-in process (state issued ID may be required).
- Take attendance and submit to designated school official.
- Follow the lesson plans as provided by the High School Programs Office and Northeast State’s faculty member.
- Establish and maintain order in the classroom.
- Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities.
- Prior to leaving the high school, report to the Main Office and check-out to complete required sign-out procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervision
- Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Experience working with high school or college students
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited institution
- Conversational ability or fluency in a second language
- Technology Skills: MS Office suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems
- Behaviors: Prompt, Courteous, Attentive
- Exhibit a professional appearance and demeanor
