Are you an adaptable Registered Nurse looking for flexible night shifts and a dynamic clinical environment? Northeast Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled RN to join our Mixed Acuity unit on a PRN basis.
In this role, you will experience a diverse patient population, allowing you to utilize and grow your clinical skills across varying levels of care. As a PRN Night Shift nurse, you will enjoy the flexibility to balance your personal life while making a critical impact when our patients need it most.
What You Will Do
- Deliver Comprehensive Care: Coordinate and provide individualized, high-quality care based on thorough assessments, clinical protocols, and provider orders.
- Collaborate & Advocate: Work closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to develop care plans while strongly advocating for your patients' rights and needs.
- Think on Your Feet: Adapt to changing patient conditions in a mixed-acuity setting, responding swiftly to medical emergencies and participating in life-saving interventions (CPR/code team) as needed.
- Educate & Empower: Provide clear, empathetic education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain Clinical Excellence: Safely administer medications, operate advanced medical equipment, and meticulously document patient care in the medical record.
- Champion Safety: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols, National Patient Safety Goals, and organizational compliance standards.
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience: 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience. (Recent graduates with clinical rotations in an acute care setting are encouraged to apply!)
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or a valid Compact State license.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. ACLS, PALS, and NRP are highly preferred.
- Core Skills: Strong critical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
